Now, if you're anything like me, you have a load of things lying about your room/flat/home that you really need to organize one day, but never get around to doing. For me, a lot of these things were earrings. I've loads of pretty pairs and mismatched pairs and even a few expensive pairs, but the bead-organizer box that I had been using to store them just didn't cut it. There weren't enough little spaces, and it was a pain to get it out from my closet, undo the clasp, remove the lid and inner lid, then find the pair I was looking for. What I really needed was some sort of earring rack to hang them all on. So I went to Target in search of such a piece -- no good. They were either too big, too small, or far too expensive. I found a few suiting my needs on Amazon, but I can't be bothered to pay that much for something so trivial. Then, as I was sitting around the house today with nothing to do, too weak to do any real cleaning/work/organizing, I decided that it was time to get rid of this earring problem once and for all. Above is the finished product; view the steps behind the cut.
